Nice mitts and GREAT socks, even with the non-matching lengths...didn't even notice till you mentioned it. I like the colors, and what's not to love about Koigu, knots and all?

boo! the Koigu wasn't perfect! The socks are cute and no one will ever notice that they aren't the same length. Except that you just pointed out the difference here for everyone in the world to see.

Hurray for finished socks! Don't feel bad for finishing them while not commuting. You didn't sign anything saying you would. They look great, and I love knitting with Koigu.

Hey, I'm having a blog contest over at my blog. To enter, you just write a haiku (no pressure; winner will be picked randomly). The winner will receive a set of handmade (by me) beaded stitch markers. Tell all your friends!

There's nothing wrong with plain ol' stockinette socks... especially when knit with gorgeous yarn. I think for the carry-around project it is better to have a bit of a no-brainer, I get so irritated when interrupted in the midst of a complicated repeat to get back to real life! So, embrace the stockinette sock. Stock up on fabulous, not to be obscured by extra pattern, sock yarn and enjoy your commute!
