How fantastic – Heston Blumental does the whole molecular gastronomy in the SE England. Recently had a program on Channel 4 (UK) with edible wallpaper…. nom :)

Wow this blew me away! Such fun eating. I’ve been wanting to eat here for years & now I know I must. Everything bagel ice cream just tickles me.

What an amazing experience. I’ve never eaten at this sort of place. I’m not sure if I’d like it or not because when I go out to eat, I like to eat a lot and feel really full (bad, I know). I dont know how I’d feel about getting a plate with only a teeny weeny morsel on it. That being said, some of those morsels do look exquisite.
Can’t wait to go back to NY and feast on all the goodies they have, I am so jealous that you live there!

While I am not a picky eater, I am also not much of a foodie as I was thinking “Man, I would NOT eat that” at many of these dishes but they were fascinating to read about! I think I actually would have been pissed if was expecting a delicious everything bagel and got some ice cream instead! I am nothing if not serious about bagels.

Oh this was a fabulous read! As I was reading, I went back in my mind through the handful of such food experiences I’ve had and remembered the thrill of the new, the wonderful and the often absurd delights you get to have in this kind of dining.

Photographing each one and recording it is a great idea. We’ve always found ourselves the next day wishing we’d at least taken notes because after the wine, the courses do sort of blur a bit…..
