The technique is the perfect answer to the problems of Fair Isle—managing your floats and hiding the wrong side. With double knitting colorwork, you never have a wrong side, and your yarn will only ever be carried a maximum of two stitches.

1 skein Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) in color A (blue)

Gauge
6 stitches to 1 inch when double knit

2 size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles, at least 30" long
