tv

First, let me say that I wish I had knitting to show or really talk about. I’ve finished the back and both fronts of my Cambridge Jacket, and I’m more than halfway done with one sleeve, but it’s just a mess of long skinny bits of knits, not much to photograph. I decided to not do any binding off, anticipating 3-needle bindoffs, so all the pieces are sitting next to each other, threaded onto the same piece of waste yarn, and most pieces are still connected to the original ball of yarn they were being knitted from. In short, it’s kind of a mess. Can’t reveal publicly. Soon enough!

So the rest of this post is going to be the most ridiculous thing: A small homage to my old TV.

what a year

06 review

2006. The most tumultuous year of my adult life. I started it in a stable relationship of nearly 10 years, at a good job of nearly 7 years, in a comfy apartment where I’d lived for nearly 3 years, in my adopted city of nearly 7 years. I’m ending 2006 in no relationship, in a new job of 2 months, in a comfy apartment where I’ve lived for 2 months, in a completely new city. I couldn’t have predicted the sheer amount of change I’d go through.

a holly jolly christmas

mints!

I hope everyone is recovering from the Christmas/Hanukah blitz and getting ready for New Year’s! My Christmas week was busy, but really good. Actual knitting content is at the end, in case you want to scroll down . . . I promise.

putting a spring in my step

I got a request for the full songlist of the CD that Rachel gave me, and here it is. I finally listened to the album in the past few days–I’d been unable to locate the cord to connect my ipod to the computer, but then it turned up next to my bed, not where i thought to look. Anyway, the album is awesome, and it quite often put a silly smile on my face. It exposed me to a few artists that are new to me, and I will definitely be looking for other things by them. Mix tapes are awesome that way–sometims I don’t want to listen to a whole album by someone new, but a mix gives me enough of a taste that I am hungry for more. Thanks again to Rachel, with Ashley‘s input. Oh, and I’m not going to link all these artists; you can put them in the search engine of your choice!
