i spoke too soon!
I started allowing triumphant feelings of accomplishment creep in, and then I noticed this weird irregularity in my knitting tension.
I don’t know what’s going on. The small hole is because it’s a location where one ball of yarn ended and the other began–and I always let the ends hang until the very end, when I tweak the tension and tie it up. But notice how the row is taller to the right of the hole? In fact, it gets increasingly taller as it gets toward the edge of the work.
So I figured there was something off about my tension when knitting with the new yarn, or when finishing off the old, and I thought I could just do some tugs to get it to even out. But no, somehow it was on the row before and it was just too much to tweak with little fixes. So I took that side out to the errant spot and am starting anew. It’s not all that bad–it’s essentially where I started decreasing. But still, disappointing.
