to all my affiknitty-directed visitors

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll enjoy what you see here.

Thanks for the compliments, and to all of those who have pointed out that low-rise jeans require larger belts: You are totally right! Thanks for reminding me. I reminded my mom (who had been horrified when I gave her the measurement I’d prefer) of this, and she felt a lot better. I also talked to her about adding to my addi stash, or a gift cert to knitpicks, and she ultimately decided that she would just write me a check. So I’ll have to be good about applying the money toward personal purchases, not groceries.

I had a dream last night that I went to yoga and rolled out my mat, and it had cables and moss stitch all over it. Someone nearby asked me if the texture was good for stickiness or bad for it. I didn’t know! (What’s odd about having had this dream last night is that I started the sleeves for Pam, and so I’m smack-dab in the middle of k2p2 rib—no cables yet.)

Hello from an “affiknitty-directed visitor”!!! I’ve had knitting dreams too. Quite a few, actually. It’s a good thing, I think. It means you’ve found something you have a passion for, and it’s near and dear to your heart!!

I, too, have been sent by Laura. Clearly, she is a woman of great sense and excellent taste too point you out!

Thank you so much for the explanation of low-rise jeans and belt sizes. I’ve been feeling very badly about that problem, and while some of it is due to…um…metabolism issues, it’s nice to have another culprit too.

For me, knitting dreams usually resolve a knitting issue, like gauge or a tricky cable bit. I really should have them more often, as they would save me much heartache.

I don’t know if the mat would be good for stickiness, but it sure sounds beautiful with cables and moss stitch! I wish I had impeccable taste in my dreams…shucks, I just wish I had impeccable taste, period. :-) Sounds like you’ll be ‘enhancing the stash’ soon- how fun!!
