eye candy friday

Perhaps the most self-indulgent eye candy friday of all, but it actually has some knitting content, and most eye candys don’t. Check it out: My mom knit the sweater I’m wearing! Yes, this is a photo of me. It was my own idea to push up the cuffs so high, she tells me (I have zero recollection of this). I’m about 4 1/2 years old here; the photo was taken–or rather, developed–in July 1982. I just love the colors in this shot.

Edited to add: I just realized that this shot is totally Project Spectrum appropriate!

Cute! You look like you are planning on getting even for having your picture taken or are planning some sort of trouble. ;)

I think you just wanted to have butterfly sleeves to match your facial butterflies! The cuteness factor is overwhelming….

Cute as a button! I’ll try to remember your scrunched up sleeves when my daughter wants to do goofy things with her clothes.

Heh. That’s pretty cute. At least you don’t have a Punky Brewster pigtail and pegged white jeans? Kidding…

Your clothes match the lawn chair :) I love this picture. And the poof sleeves are a nice little fashion statement!

What a great shot to have! That yellow is fabulous and it’s very cool to see that you already had such a great sense of style at 4 1/2 (referring to your alterations of the design by pushing up the cuffs) haha.

You have a little mischievous expression on your face, love it! I spent most of 1982 wearing pink. It was a travesty.

    Awwww :)

I remember the pattern called for size “00″ needles! I couldn’t find them that small so I just made the sweater on size “0″. Which is like knitting with angel hair pasta! But worth it for such a cute kid!

Wow, did you ALWAYS dress to match the furniture?

You’re totally adorable, of course, and I love the distinct fashion sense you imposed on your clothing. :)
